I am a fledgling Indie author.
I have just spread my wings with DragonZ Eye, the first book in a fantasy series aimed at readers 8 +.
I have enjoyed the adventure so far and would like to share some of my experiences and problems from along the way.
I have received helpful advice and found great books and websites that have supported the writing and launch of my first fiction book.
The second in the series - DragonZ Soul - is growing daily.
I am 49 and English living in a mountain region of France
with my wonderful patient husband, our two sons and our dog Daisy.
Daisy is a mongrel dog rescued from
a harsh life in Wales.
She is fun but has a bit of an attitude problem
with other girl dogs!
My husband and I run our own business on the internet selling Lego, which includes attending Lego exhibitions across France and creating our own models. Great fun!
Our two sons are about to start their own adult lives, they are a little like boomerangs at the moment!
I cook and sell cookies in the summer at the local market, teach English privately to children and adults and write articles for educational publications and web magazines.
I have millions of ideas and projects buzzing through my head on a regular basis, ranging from stories and Lego creations to glass bottle walls, painting, drawing and wood carving.
I love -
Swimming in the mountain lakes, although not when they are frozen! Walking with Daisy, plenty of ideas are born on walks.
Cycling with my hubby, although around here there is always a steep hill !
Being creative.
The day is never long enough so I have to give myself some deadlines and try to prioritise projects.
